Famous Female Suicide

"One year ago, I stumbled upon an article from VICE Magazine. In 2013, the magazine came up with the idea of photographing models reeanacting the suicides of seven female writers. The photos were intended for commercial use-- to sell clothing. Beyond its sheer madness, this concept introduced me to a group of women who fascinate me. Using them as characters, I enter into dialogue with them, amplify the drama and search for the edges of their lives and work."

In Famous Female Suicide wordt een portret gemaakt van vrouwelijke schrijfsters in een surrealistische editorial fotoshoot. Het is een ode aan taal, fictie en vrouwelijk kunstenaarschap.
