FOMOFILM richt elke maand de schijnwerpers op één bijzondere film. Deze maand kiezen ze voor de winnaar van de University of Antwerp Award tijdens de 2022 editie van het MOOOV-festival: COSTA BRAVA, LEBANON.
De vrijgevochten familie Badri is ontsnapt aan de giftige vervuiling van Beiroet door toevlucht te zoeken in het utopische berghuis dat ze hebben gebouwd. Maar onverwacht wordt er een stortplaats voor vuilnis aangelegd vlak buiten hun omheining, waardoor het afval van een heel land op hun stoep terechtkomt. Naarmate het afval toeneemt, nemen ook de spanningen tussen weggaan en weerstand bieden toe, waardoor hun idyllische huis en de eenheid van hun familie worden bedreigd.
