Happy New Queer

On Sunday, January 26, we celebrate Happy New Queer in Antwerp! Dena Vahdani, your favorite stand-up comedian and our radiant host, will lead you through an evening full of surprises.

Gustavo Vieira blends reality and fiction in a powerful performance (concept by Marlla Araújo) and gets our hips moving with their fiery take on Brazilian funk. The multi-talented Margot Delaet, who presented a bold photo project at A Night Called Quest this summer, is now warming our winter hearts with a New Year’s letter.

Celine’s intense and humorous performance about their transmasculine desires, dreams, and rage was such a hit at A Night Called Quest that we couldn’t resist inviting them to this party too. And yes, the charming, vulnerable, macho drag kings Dicklan and Raoul Les Mécaniques will also be making an appearance! The cherry on top: indie-pop, love, rage, and glitter from Brussels-based Glow!

We’re taking over not just the hall but the foyer too. Get love advice from newly-minted lawyer and love judge Icy Pampella, explore an interactive art project by Fenn-Jonah, and get to know Het Roze Huis. For those feeling bold, Feetje will be offering handpoke tattoos to take home!
