Who are you when it gets dark?
Vvk is volledig uitverkocht. Beperkt aantal tickets beschikbaar aan de deur in de loop van de avond.
Line-up
Hendrik Lasure
Hendrik Lasure is mainly known as a keyboard player in the Belgian jazz scene. In the past, he released albums as a member of ensembles such as schntzl, Bombataz, An Pierlé Quartet and Thunderblender.
Lasure is also active in theater and as a film score composer. In Het Wiel Hendrik breaks out of his own shell and bares his soul. After a dozen instrumental albums, he plays with language for the first time, this time singing in his own spoken language: not cleaned up, not prettified. The music is as intimate as possible and any kind of virtuosity is avoided. There is a flirtation with Christian imagery and the music is reminiscent of 1970s kleinkunst. For fans of Jules De Corte, Boudewijn De Groot, Elliott Smith, PJ Harvey, ...
Sam De Nef
Sam De Nef is a young songwriter and composer from Antwerp. His first album Dawn / Dusk was released in October at Unday Records. Sam tells stories inspired by personal experiences, dreams and fictional events. The result is a compelling and impressive debut. The first single Passerby’s Ghost, is an intriguing duet with Tenci (US).
Sam debuted in 2020 with a first EP, recorded a concert film with director Ramy Moharam Fouad at De Roma shortly after, and has since played a fine string of shows at Boomtown, Werchter, OLT and Ancienne Belgique, among others. For Studio Brussels, he recorded a series of English adaptations of Dutch-language classics.
Sam De Nef will present his debut album live this fall with a full band. For fans of: Adrianne Lenker, Elliott Smith, Alex G, Aldous Harding and Arthur Russell.
schntzl
schntzl is a Belgian duo that creates hyper visual music, provocative but kind. Their music can be heard as pop music of a parallel universe, a teardown of established values but with a taste for kitsch. Accompanied by their percussion, samplers, keyboards and drums they function as a fail-safe orchestra of two people, dancing and orbiting around each other.
Niels Orens
Driven by technology, the young new talent Niels Orens, is constantly searching for new ways to generate sound. The harmonious cohesion between his acoustic and electronic sounds results in a colorful palette of emotions where your soul can relate to. Combining the rhythmic patterns influenced on breakbeat with spatial sound design and deep bass sounds, he provides a unique sonic experience. With influences like Max Cooper, Floating Points and Massive Attack, it becomes difficult to discern the intersection between different genres which allows him to make room for something new.
Being one of the Belgian Sound Track laureates of 2021-2022, Niels Orens is not sitting still. As he continues his interrogation between the intersections of music, technology and visual art he extends the boundaries of electronic live performances. Arriving on stage with his cello to create dense and sensitive loops combined with carefully constructed beats makes his live shows truly unique. Add immersive visuals to the list and you’re all set for an intense trip to the unknown.
“Organic acoustic and seething electronics melted together into a beautiful sound design by one of the most exciting new artists there is” – Max Cooper
Goldie B

After spending several years performing in various jazz and electro projects, she left the Paris scene in 2017 to settle in Marseille where she has found recognition among peers with her solo nu-soul project MBKONG as well as her DJ alias Goldie B. As an electronic artist, her universe mixes styles and BPMs, between bass wide and percussive, mainly influenced by the uk bass, nu jazz, jungle to break beat scene.
Fahad Seriki
Fahad Seriki is a versatile Nigerian artist, now focused on producing and DJing ‘Underground Dance Music’ influenced by Breakbeat, Baltimore club, Ghetto Tech, Tekstyle and Footwork. He aims to captivate club-goers with his energetic performances. Fahad, as of right now, is creating a new sound with the bounce of Ghetto and the roughness of Tekstyle.
Kim Peers
Kim Peers, with a background in the high-end fashion world from Antwerp, is known for her musical endeavors alongside Mathieu Vandekerckhove. They have worked together on the band Skemer, and there's an exciting new album by Skemer set to release in November. Kim also made her mark in music with her EP Tell Me More, which was released on DJ Hell's International Gigolos Records in 2004, featuring remixes by Mt Sims and David Carretta. As a versatile DJ, she specializes in electro, dark wave, ebm, dark disco, techno, and more, adapting her style to the event's atmosphere. Kim is a resident DJ at Drag Me To Hell and co-hosts Club Solitaire, where they explore genres like post-punk, italo, and ebm.
Lulu
Lulu is a DJ with an untamed sound. Jumping back and forth from moody vocals to dub-heavy rhythms and dark electronic bass, listening to her sets is a body-stimulating experience. Lulu was a resident at the memorable festival Strange Sounds From Beyond. Currently she is a resident at Amsterdam’s Garage Noord.
Agneskena
Whether as a photographer or a DJ, Agneskena wants to tell a story and reach people’s hearts. Her music selection is a reflection of her own world and fantasies. It is a balanced blend of energetic and seductive sounds that she juggles with during her sets. Her aim is to make you forget time for a brief moment.
Yooth
On the crossroad of different percussive-driven club sounds, you find Yooth looking out for musical fusions that fit his preferred formula: lively percussions, a splash of soul, buoyant melodies, shimmery textures and wavy synths.
Fluid both in genre and gender, Yooth sees dj’ing as a way to playfully shapeshift and create bodily joys on the rhythm of UK Funky, Amapiano, UK Bass, Gqom, Bruk, Batida and, you guessed it, everything inbetween.
Driven by the love for his favourite music genres, he founded Brussels-based nightlife collective Brikabrak 6 years ago to push these sounds to even more dancefloors across Belgium while supporting upcoming artists, giving dj-workshops, and hosting monthly radio shows on Bruzz & Kiosk Radio.
Ninette
Ninette is an Antwerp based teenage DJ with Congolese roots. In 2022 she took part in a workshop by Blck Mamba. There she got in touch with dj-ing and learned how to spin. After that workshop, she practiced every day to get better at transitions.
Ninette started dancing at a young age and that’s how her love for music was born. Her goal when she does a set is to make people feel safe and dance a lot. She wants to show a new side and vibe of nightlife by mixing mainly tracks of Amapiano, Gqom and Afro House.
Raak Me Aan
Raak Me Aan has been a dj and promotor in Antwerp for over 15 years. His sonic universe connects subversive club music from several continents. Sometimes dark, always sweaty.
Tsip
Tsip is a DJ / producer of electronic music. Equally known for her collaborative musical project JANTES (@24inchs) as for her genre-bending DJ sets, she’ll make your hearts beat to the sounds of ghettotech, kuduro, jersey club and baile funk.
Suzan Peeters
Suzan Peeters is a Brussels-based accordionist, experimentalist and improviser. Suzan is constantly looking for new timbres and sound textures within the accordion. She experiments with the acoustic sound possibilities of the accordeon and likes to create the illusion of a synthesizer sound, using the bellows in a very extensive way. The combination with electronics makes the line between acoustic and electronic sounds even more blurry.
Brenda W. Aerts & Kamerkoor
Brenda Aerts sings Ann Christy (and maybe other people too).
Brenda plucks some of the most moving, beautiful as well as painful fruits from the Anne tree.
Ready with the crop in her throat.
The eyes already pre-watered.
The heart already slightly broken.
Enjoy this open wound of musical drama and pain.
This time with her Chamber Choir.
Shawn Fitzgerald Ahern
No More Mountains in Montana
Shawn Fitzgerald Ahern presents a new dance theatre performance in collaboration with Arika Yamada, Pol Van Den Broek & Jonas Vandekerckhove. The performance, titled, No More Mountains in Montana, reflects on moments of wonderment found in youth, through the nostalgic lens of adulthood.
Set to a score performed live by composer/musician Wolff Bergen, the work will feature performers engaging directly with audience members throughout the evening and culminate with an intimate late-night performance in De Rotonde.
Jarne Van Loon & Freek De Craecker
Do you dare to enter the bottomless gay pit?
Don’t be scared, be terrified.
Join us on a ritual ride to get your inner demons out.
But be warned, there are trigger warnings lurking around the corner for (almost) everything.
Don’t forget to bring a straight friend!
Jarne Van Loon and Freek de Craecker are both theatre makers and actors. They got to know each other during their drama training at KASK, Ghent. Jarne and Freek are at the beginning of their newest creation. Their performance at Fade Into You, with live music by Kato Van Ermen, will be an experimental sneak peek of their future work.
They’ve worked together before in various projects: Freek played in Nachtzwemmen, a performance created by Jarne Van Loon and Lieselot Siddiki. In addition, they both can be seen in After All Springville by Miet Warlop. In the summer of 2022 they performed together in an act at Nightshift in Oostende.
Nykolaes & Daniël Paul
Nykolaes & Daniël Paul are two artists based in Brussels. Next to being collaborative artists they are roommates. They bring soft-spoken songs that combine guitar and electronic elements with an honest vocal performance, sometimes autotune, sometimes out of tune. A motivating force within this is the scatter-brained pace of the internet, with its twitching and breathing impulses which make you long for a simpler past far gone. As such these songs are ‘neofolk’, they have repurposed something authentic and visceral into something that shimmers and glitters anew. Expect weird pop, upside-down folk, emotional texts in Dutch and English. Someone on a guitar crying. Lambs on a screen. Grass underneath your feet. Sun in your eyes.
Leyla de Muynck
Leyla De Muynck is a performance artist from Amsterdam. Scenography plays an important part in her work. She combines dance with het crocheted artworks. In her COCOON, Leyla explores the inevitable and intriguing theme of death. The caterpillar dies and transforms into a butterfly.
Rune Tuerlinkcx
The Tearoom
Rune Tuerlinckx, an elusive creature by nature, will offer you a cup of steaming tea as you venture through the dwelling of the shay man. The tearoom is an installation for the space in between, where weary travellers might find themselves at times, welcome to repose, catch a breath or just wander through. Sometimes, the seldom seen shay man is said to pour some refreshment for those he sees in need and esteems brave enough to journey on.
Frederik Heyman
Lament is the first act of Frederik Heyman‘s new autobiographical body of work, Post-Human Considerations. Six mechanically induced women narrate the digital installation through the use of a newly composed lament. A guiding light fixed to their support apparatus accompanies the mourning, seemingly blind women in a fixed grid and endless loop around their own graves, unable to access free will. A manifestation of the mother figure, chanting boisterous into the infinate void. The heads are indivertible connected to the system that amplifies their suffering and regret. A posthuman reflection on identity and loss, a human emotion confined to the parameters of human nature. At Fade Into You Lament will be shown in dialogue with The Weight, the second act of Heymans autobiographical work, Post Human Considerations.
Milou van Duijnhoven
Milou Van Duijnhoven is a performer, dancer and actress who is stimulated by the juicy line between pleasure and destruction. Ambiguity, sensuality and stamina are the sources from where she unfolds her physical and vocal practice. ‘soft sticky stamina song’ is a continuing research on a concert where the songs are stimulated by two heavy rocks. They are the instruments that bring leverage for the voice to pour out and reverb in the body. In devotion of the power ballad Milou explores how to move through this two stoned landscape.
