Thanksgiving, 1976, San Francisco’s Winterland. The Band speelt zijn laatste concert na 16 jaar toeren. Sommige nummers brengen ze alleen, andere nummers worden vertolkt met gastartiesten van Ronnie Hawkins tot Bob Dylan en Joni Mitchell. Regisseur Martin Scorsese legt met zijn camera de interacties op het podium vast, tijdens het muziek maken. Naast het podium interviewt hij de vijf leden van the Band. De vriendschappen, de grappen, de harmonie en de impact van het leven on the road. Dat alles culmineert in een laatste wals.

We vertonen de concertfilm als een hommage aan the Band-lid Garth Hudson, die op 21 januari 2025 overleed.

Thanksgiving, 1976, San Francisco’s Winterland. The Band plays its farewell concert after 16 years on tour. Some musical numbers they perform by themselves, for others they are joined by musical guests from Ronnie Hawkins to Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell. Director Martin Scorsese captures the interactions on stage with his camera, as the people on stage are making music together. Off stage, he interviews the five members of the Band. The friendships, the jokes, the harmony and the impact of life on the road. All of this culminates in one last waltz.

We screen the concert film as an homage to Garth Hudson, the last remaining member of the Band who passed  on the 21st of January 2025.
