EP-release The Move

After Dull Boy Johnny's previous release, a double EP with a tropical A-side and an erotic B-side, this time the three gentlemen are out on the dance floor. After all, the neighbors decided as much.

Unlike the recordings of their previous work that took place abroad, this time they stayed in a steamy attic room in Belgium, where guitarist and producer Jan built a studio. Unable to record at night because of neighbors who did not (yet) appreciate Dull Boy Johnny's music, they dove into Antwerp's nightlife.

Graduation show Luna Schepens

"One year ago, I stumbled upon an article from VICE Magazine. In 2013, the magazine came up with the idea of photographing models reeanacting the suicides of seven female writers. The photos were intended for commercial use-- to sell clothing. Beyond its sheer madness, this concept introduced me to a group of women who fascinate me. Using them as characters, I enter into dialogue with them, amplify the drama and search for the edges of their lives and work."

The Colorist Orchestra plays new instrumental pop music. The orchestra reworks well-known instrumental hits into new compositions, often with only subtle references to the original. This 'recomposed music' is inspired by genres as diverse as disco, electronica, classical music and traditional folklore, with one goal in mind: to make you dance. The Colorist Orchestra aims to reevaluate lost music and breathe new life into it, by recoloring recognizable melodies and experimenting with new sound combinations.
