The Last Chapters

In his (for now) eternal quest to find the Story of Stories, primordial storyteller Thomas Dudkiewicz tackles his never-ending story in his new solo The Last Chapters. An existential, immersive experience in which a storyteller dives into the mind of the comatose actor ‘Thomas’, in a final desperate attempt to bring him back to consciousness. The storyteller drags Thomas along on a personal odyssey through the frayed edges of imagination and the Self. In the subconscious, chaos reigns; in storytelling, there is order. But the subconscious fights back. A cosmic collision between life and death.

Just as in Bedtime Stories, the soundscape plays a major role in the immersive power of this performance. This time, Dudkiewicz uses an immersive sound system with binaural (3D) audio. A medium through which, together with sound designer Tomas Loos, who operates the sound live, he explores a new way of conjuring countless worlds and bringing the ultimate story to life.
