In Oui. Non. Attention., a group of ten young acrobats asks for your attention … attention. Not only the on-the-edge-of-your-seat attention for breathtaking feats such as standing three high on top of each other or a spectacular fall that just ends well. But also attention to the gaze, the breathing, perhaps the hesitation that precedes them. Attentive awareness. Careful concentration.
Guided by circus makers Hanna Mampuys and Toon Van Gramberen, the young people invite you to come close in this wordless performance. Dozing off in row R is out of the question: you take your seat right in the middle of the action, in a unique tribune arrangement surrounding the acrobats on stage. If your attention does happen to waver, you are effortlessly drawn back into the performance by the jazzy-folky sounds of Abel Ghekiere.
Oui. Non. Attention. is an exciting and relaxing circus performance by a group in search of generosity towards others, their own bodies and their surroundings.
