Aan het einde van KILL BILL: VOLUME 1 krijgen we een opdoffer van informatie. Informatie die de “'roaring rampage of revenge” van the Bride zou kunnen doen ontsporen. 
Maar eerst krijgen we in opvolger KIL BILL: VOLUME 2 inzicht in het verleden van the Bride, haar harde training bij de mythische martial arts meester Pai Mei, haar relatie met Bill en wat leidde tot de gebeurtenissen aan het begin van VOLUME 1. 

The Bride, nu gekend als Beatrix Kiddo, vervolgt haar wraaktocht tegen voormalig baas en geliefde, Bill, en onderweg komt ze oog in oog (pun intended) te staan met de resterende Deadly Vipers Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah) en Bills broer Budd (Michael Madsen).

Quentin Tarantino en Uma Thurman zagen the Bride als deel van een lange generatie van “hell bent for revenge” personages, met trekken van zowel de eenzame cowboys in spaghettiwesterns als samoerais uit wraakfilms, zoals LADY SNOWBLOOD (ook op ons programma!). KILL BILL: VOL. 1 & 2 worden na elkaar vertoond op zaterdag 10.05, op 35mm! Van Tarantino tonen we in onze (S)HEROES-focus ook JACKIE BROWN en DEATH PROOF, eveneens op 35mm.

At the end of KILL BILL: VOLUME 1 we receive a piece of explosive information. Information that could derail the Bride’s “roaring rampage of revenge”. But first, the sequel KILL BILL: VOLUME 2 gives us insight into the Bride’s past, her strenuous training with mythical martial arts master Pai Mei, her relationship with Bill and what led to the events at the beginning of VOLUME 1.

The Bride, now known as Beatrix Kiddo, continues her road of revenge against former boss and lover Bill, and along the way, she comes face to face with the remaining Deadly Vipers Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah) and Bill’s brother, Budd (Michael Madsen).

Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman conceived the Bride as part of a long generation of “hell bent for revenge” characters, with traits from the lonesome cowboys from spaghetti westerns and samurais from revenge films such as LADY SBNOWBLOOD (also on our programme!).  KILL BILL: VOL. 1 & 2 are screened on Saturday 10.05 ,on 35mm! In our (S)HEROES-focus we also screen Tarantino’s JACKIE BROWN and DEATH PROOF, on 35mm as well.
