KLUTE

Detective John Klute gaat op zoek naar een vriend die is verdwenen. Zijn enige aanwijzing in de vermissingszaak zijn brieven van zijn vriend aan callgirl Bree Daniels. Klute volgt Bree en luistert haar telefoon af in een poging om bewijsmateriaal te vinden. Pas wanneer Klute haar kan overtuigen dat ze zelf in gevaar is, begint Bree hem te helpen met het onderzoek.

Regisseur Alan J. Pakula levert een spannende neo-noir thriller af die de eerste titel werd in zijn Paranoia-trilogie (gevolgd door THE PARALLAX VIEW en ALL THE PRESIDENT’S MEN), waarin thema’s zoals paranoia, samenzwering en surveillance een belangrijke narratieve rol spelen.
