Dit woordeloze kortfilmprogramma vormt een brug tussen Fritz Langs dystopie en de industriële cityscapes uit KOYAANISQATSI. Zo komen stadssymfonie en rampenfilm mooi samen in MISTY PICTURE en toont het voortreffelijk gemonteerde ballet van glasblazers in GLAS hoe industrie niet zonder de mens kan. Ondertussen versmelten planten, dieren en machinerie tot een eigen organisme in de geautomatiseerde serres van AGRILOGISTICS en vergelijken Hilary Harris’ unieke time-lapse beelden in ORGANISM de werking van een stad met de biologie van ons lichaam.

Voor de derde keer op rij vieren we samen met andere Vlaamse cinema’s het begin van het nieuwe filmjaar. De Cinema feest dit jaar weer mee met een uniek filmprogramma. This wordless short film program bridges Fritz Lang's dystopia with the industrial cityscapes from KOYAANISQATSI. City symphonies and disaster films come together beautifully in MISTY PICTURE, and the brilliantly edited glassblowers' ballet in GLAS showcases how industry cannot exist without humans. Meanwhile, plants, animals, and machinery merge into a unique organism in the automated greenhouses of AGRILOGISTICS, and Hilary Harris' unique time-lapse imagery in ORGANISM reflects the functioning of a city with the biology of our body.
