Love?
Baby, that ain’t love.
That’s just dopamine.
Your brain ain’t looking for love,
it’s looking for more.
More clicks, more pics, more kicks.
More. More. More.
Dopamine tells the story of a man who is swallowed up by the digital world and finds himself in an obscure nightmare where the boundaries between dream and reality begin to blur. Where gravity does not exist and objects take on a life of their own.
Impressive magic brings the schizophrenia of this young man to life and takes the audience into a world of addiction, loneliness and the endless search for connection, lust and love. Dopamine is the beginning of a visual trip that sketches the lives of many anonymous people behind closed doors. This new theatre production by Tim Oelbrandt combines illusionism and visual theatre. An immersive event, a theatrical installation, a sensory experience.
